Did you own anything tasty previous to the SLR ban?

I came across this old schnap of my L1A1 on the 600yd point at Battle Hill.

I was well jacked off when we had to hand these in. :x

Unfortuntely, no. I came into the game after the self-loading ban and after the pistol ban. :cool2:

I never had one in civvy life but used to shoot the L1A1 a lot during my early days in the TA.

Just couldn't afford an SLR then...now I've got a few bob I can't have one.

salut,

I thk most of the MOD surplus hve been sold on the continent - SLR L1A1 cost about GBP 600 in France & Belgium in near new condition.

Too young I wasn't even born when the self-loaders were banned and was only 7 when the pistol ban came in.
However I've spent a lot of time in Switzerland and as a result have used a large number of handguns and 4 types of self-loader
namely the Steyr AUG, StG 90 (Sig 550) and the Stg 57 and the C4X storm

I was 2 when the self loading ban came in, and 11 when the pistol ban came in :grin:
