Re: For 25Pdr

Some of us are lucky in that we have access to pistols over seas. I have the use of a SIG P210 any time I am in Denmark with unlimited ammunition. It seemed odd first time to pick a S/A up again after so many years but the P210 is a very accurate pistol and within a few minutes I was back on form and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Same went for the next day but after that the novelty was wearing off despite having the range to myself (Well apart from the Viking who soon announced it was not her idea of fun) I had moving targets could shoot from 10m to 50m, very cheap ammunition and yet it no longer excited me, even the offer of the wild ranges out in the forest were not appealing and I actually had as much fun with a little .22LR S/A. it was “The Victor” made by High Standard, I had never heard of it before and despite it's looks it shot very nicely. Maybe this is me getting more sensible as I get older, once upon a time I longed for a .338 Lapua, these days I am happy to take a few shots and then hand it back again.

I did wonder in the past if given the chance here in the UK I would take up pistol again and I have to say nope, not these days. A few days to re familiarise myself with whatever is fine but no more.

Am I in a minority here? :D

Ovenpaa, nope I wouldn't say you were in a minority, to be honest I'm not a great pistol shooter either. Apart from my carry gun I can take or leave them, these days family and visitors and my sons shoot my pistols a lot more than me.

As for unlimited ammo, well .40 S&W ammo I have a constant supply as well. My buddy who is the armourer for the local PD gives me around 1500 rounds every year. The local PD probably for some legal reason only keeps it ammo for a year then buys fresh stuff.

I much prefer shooting rifle saying that though as Tom Selleck in the movie Quigly Down Under says,

"Said I got no use for them, didn't say I didn't know how to use them" .

Blu - carry gun, is that what I think you mean in that it is a gun you carry all the time?

Ovenpaa, correct, that is the gun I am allowed to carry comcealed, though it is not limited to that particular cun, I can carry what I like concealed, I just prefer that gun.

For the most part, depends where I am going, but normal out and about yes. As has been said, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
