Original Russian PEM Scope Fogging up

#1 Post by dirtbag »

Hi all, Loving My 42 Izzy with Geco & Pem combo. However on a cold day today at the range from 800 - 1000 I experienced really bad fogging up of the sight picture thus making me shoot goofy. The fogging up improves per shot, but after I pack it away and move back to the next firing point it has come back.

The scope is an original pem that I got from France that I had restored, the rifle when 100% can pop into the black/ at least on board all day long from 1000 (even with me behind it!)
Is there any remedy please ?

I did in all fairness not have a good day, the 9130 was my backup gun as I wanted to use my low turret k98, but I misjudged my scope alingment (6 foot wide at 800) Thus my german scope windage is adjusted by the mount.... so i left it as i rather would do this at a short range. (Lined it up in my back garden when I got home and it was off even at 25 yards)

Cheers all

There is/was a product called cat crap for motorbike visors that worked well.
