Nice visitor, are you near water at the moment?

We've been on the beach this morning if that counts ;)

Actually we are a couple of miles from the coast and the intra-coastal waterway where as the name implies there are a lot of Ospreys, where we are they are a lot of vultures and a few Bald Eagles which are really impressive.

I had to Google them to see what they eat and it said fish and carrion hence the question are you near water, and no I do not want to hear what the beach is like or how warm and sunny it is or how grateful you are for air-conditioning.... :D

Anyway I never realised they had a wingspan of up to 90" which makes our local pair of Buzzards look rather tame. (not quite in the garden but nesting under 250m away) The Bald Eagle is comparable in size to the Sea Eagles in Scotland so they must be spectacular to see flying let alone sitting in the tree. Are they looked on with pride or as a problem in your area? I ask because we are always delighted to see the Buzzards out but not everyone agrees with us.
