Re: Birthday treat for myself :D
I used one of the Desert tactical bull pups in a comp this year, looks lovely and feels good to hold, but the ergonomics were a bit off, the trigger was typical bullpup, and I had multiple light strikes! the 5 round mags are a bit limiting as well I don't know if they do a 10 round ? I love the concept I'm not sure about the reality.
Re: Birthday treat for myself :D
Get the bullpup one... on the grounds that it looks sexier, and I'm not even sure if that makes sense.

I like the way the DTA has a forward bolt handle, nice and in my eyes essential touch. I still prefer the more conventional bolt position and operation of the AI though.
Accuracy wise it will depend on who you speak to I assume and there is always option three which is a Rangemaster STBY or STBY G2 and have you seen the latest offerings from Mikmak at Dolphin rifles?

Have to agree the Rangemaster's look very good, just a shame there isnt much info on their website on the G2 nor is there any prices for them :G

We have a couple of Rangemaster people on the forum, they may be able to help.
Re: Birthday treat for myself :D
There's a guy nearby who has a desert tactical bullpup. He even uses it deerstalking occassionally. Can't fault its accuracy as he regularly joins us shooting on the clearfell out to 1200yds approx. Unforetunately it just doesn't 'fit' me and i don't like thr trigger.
I did enquire about buying an AX a while back but the waiting list was at least 9 months. Then the wife wanted a new car so the money got used.

How on earth can they take that long??
Must say I really dont understand why manufacture's do not put their prices on their websites, dunno about anyone else but I sure like to know the damage before as I draw up short lists!!

Fulfilling military contracts maybe? I do know that it's being well received in the States and they'd be mad to ignore demand in that size of market.Convict_keeper wrote:
