Hello all, new member checking in

#1 Post by rufrdr »

Hello from sunny southern California! I have an interest in 1945 and earlier military firearms but I've managed to accumilate other types of arms over the years. My main interest is the Lee Enfield which is how I found my way here. You have a very friendly and interesting forum, thanks for letting me participate.

Best regards,

rufrdr

Welcome , someone from the land of the free , to have pistols at least . I believe California is one of the more stricter States though .

welcome to the friendliest shooters forum on the web,

mind you your first post won't win you many friends, posting picture of you having fun with a nice looking 1911 (I assume) in the Californian sunshine might make some people very envious

Thanks for making me feel welcome! I enjoy posting pics but if it gets to be too much tell me to stop. California is one of states that makes firearms ownership more difficult but because the laws are written by non firearms enthusiasts (fortunately) there are many legal routes around the restrictions that the state tries to put in the way of shooters.

Here is my youngest on the same range trip with our Webley MkVI .455 revolver. He calls it the Indiana Jones revolver but if it gets him to the range, who cares!

Welcome to F-B(UK) rufrdr, good to see someone from the other side of the water on our forum, it is always interesting to swap news on shooting and reloading styles. I am impressed with you son shooting the .455, I struggled to hit the sand with the one I tried

Hi and welcome.

I love that, "Hi FB-UK, I'm from the US, here's a pic of something you can't have" :shakeshout:

I kid. Welcome and hi. Fingers crossed I'm off to the US for the first time in a few months. I'm going to try out these "handgun" things. See what all the buzz is.
