Don't overdo the lube cos that will buggar the necks for sure.
I got carbide dies for handgun reloading...rarely stick and don't need much lubing...expensive though.

One my cases are fireformed they are batched to each rifle and necksized from then on, mainly using the Lee collet die. One of the few lee products I rate very highly, but like most Lee products they need a bit of fettling to start with.
I have a few Redding neck bushing sets and they are first class but pricey and you really need to have the tight toleranced chambers to take advantage of their precision and flexibility.

It depends on just how dimpled the neck is, if it was all but turned inside out I would say discard it but usually it is a couple of radial dimples formed because too much lube has built up inside the die and it hydraulics the shoulder in slightly. On the grounds that it has been through the full length die it should chamber OK and in my mind is not really any different to fireforming when fired.Robin128 wrote:I heard that was dangerous ovenpaa???
I only use Imperial sizing wax as a lube these days so such issues are a thing of the past however when I was using Lyman case lube I saw it happen. It is all part of the learning process.

Were do you get your Imperial sizing wax from. Last time I bought it I had to get it from Buffalo arms in the States. Still got 3/4 of a tin but some more would be use full to have.

I used to have a problem with 7.62x54 Mosin nagant case necks all ways dimpled when full length re sizing. Problem was the vent hole in the die being covered by the locking ring and to much lube. But they fire formed fine. I just neck size them now.
