I took this old lady out to the range today , its a BSA Model 12 120 ish , originaly a .22 lr with a 1 : 16 twist , converted to .22 Remington Jet . The case is a necked down .38 , originaly developed in the US for a revolver , but it didnt work as the cases slid back in the chamber and jammed the cylinder .
The load I was using was 12 gns N110 with a Sierra SP [ Hornet ] CCI small rifle primers .
This is how I was set up on a bench at 25 yds , conditions was light rain .
The results
The cartridge

Re: BSA Model 12
Dinky little cartridge in'it.
Re: BSA Model 12
I have read of the 22 Jet but never seen one, from memory they are fairly low velocity rounds, and odd looking things as well. Do you buy the brass as is or size it yourself?
Re: BSA Model 12
The cases I have about 100 or so are Rem jet cases which I bought with the rifle , but they are old , some I have annealed , each time I use 50 I probably loose a couple due to bulges splitting or denting . I was lucky last year after posting on a US forum a guy offered me a box of 50 new cases he no longer had use for and he didnt want anything for them at the very least I wanted to pay the postage but he said no .
I still have some work to do getting a good load for this rifle .
