Hi :)
Going to order the SGC 9mm lever release in the next few weeks and was looking for advice on which barrel length and twist rate to go for.
Options are 1 in 19 or 1 in 10 twist and 12" or 18" length.
I intend to use Berry's Plated round nose 115gr bullets over 4.5gr of TiteGroup, mainly used for 25m indoor with a monthly outdoor range at 100m.

As DM said in the other post the shorter barrel to save weight is probably the better option, once you slap in a full 32rd mag and you stick on a scope and moderator ( ) on it's quite a heafty bit of kit!
Re; twist rate, i think mine is a 1/19 and it does very well with 115gr rounds. The only rounds i could get ahold of at first were the 147gr's Privvi ammo from Kranks and it was like a shotgun at 20m  Maybe the faster twist would sort that out?
Speaking of ammo, i've just realised there'll be another 'shark in the tank' buying up ammo in Co. Durham, damn :-P

While I am a fan of short barrels, keep in mind that you are necessarily reducing the length of the fore-end. If you use the modern rifle method and you have longer arms, this can be an issue so far as where to put your hand.
You can see for this shooter the standard length fore-end you would be limited to with a 12" barrel is too short for him so he has added an additional rail section around and in front of the sight post, onto which his grip spills (an alternative to simply getting a mid-length fore-end with a low profile gas block or a longer gas system).
I don't have the longest arms in the world but I have to put a hand stop on my 11.5" barreled Colt to stop me over-extending and ending up with the wrong number of hands (or more likely a burnt one as I usually run it suppressed).

Sounds like the longer barrel then as I'm well over 6 foot with long arms :)
Blackstuff, No worries about me buying up ammo, I have 300 Starline cases and 1000 bullet heads so they should keep me going for a while :)
Had I thought about it before we came over I would have ordered the extra 5-Hole Turret and 9mm dies etc. for the progressive press so I could swap between .44 & 9mm, I always forget something :(
