Mosin Nagant receiver

#1 Post by froggy »

Salut,

Maybe a naive question for you Rusky experts but can somebody explain to me why on a M44 MN dated 1945 we can still find an hex receiver please ? They are so much nicer looking but I would have assume that by that date only round one would have been fitted ??

Does that make it a rarer version ? hence the slight premium CGFirearms is charging for that nice one ?

thanks

Early Hex receivers do hold a premium in value, + I think it's all matching not forced matched at referb makes it more original, and its in very good condition. I also think Chris is selling this one for a customer hence the higher price tag.

+1, and Ive just been to Chris's today and he has a 1944 TULA M44 which is scarce as that was the only year Tula made them.
