Here are a few random photos, give an idea of what kit people were using:

It looks like the weather gods were with you and it was an excellent day for a very good cause as well. Any idea when the next one will be as I flatly refuse to have to miss the next one!

Don't know yet, may be in the spring or the same time next year, unfortunately I wont be organising it as I'll most likely be somewhere under the North Atlantic being very quiet.ovenpaa wrote:It looks like the weather gods were with you and it was an excellent day for a very good cause as well. Here's my Cold Bore Starter Target shot at 200 yards:
I wont put anyone else's up but I do have quite a few at home as not all people collected their's at the end of the day.
I think many people struggled with the concept here as, looking at evidence, they did not either understand the CoF or were trying to gain an advantage with multiple shots fired at the larger circles and still missing them anyway.
For the next time it will be stipulated which order you shoot this in i.e. Cold Bore Starter, 3 Round Grouper, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 point circles then either the 30 point circle or a one more shot at either of the 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 point circles for a total of ten shots. We will also send peoples a practice target when they have paid their Entry Fee.
And for clarification the circle inside diameters are:
Cold Bore Starter - 40 mm (Smiley - 13mm)
5 point Circle - 29mm (Smiley - 5.5 mm)
10 point Circle - 23mm (Smiley - 5.5 mm)
15 point Circle - 17mm (Smiley - 5.5 mm)
20 point Circle - 13mm (Smiley - 5.5 mm)
25 point Circle - 10mm (Smiley - 5.5mm)
30 point Circle - 8mm
Grouping Diamond is 2" square.
I scored 30 points with my first shot and my group size factor increased that up to 31.5. Most competitors scored zero in this stage.
Was it too difficult? I don't think so but I would perhaps suggest that this Stage be scored separately to the others and not included in the overall aggregate for the day for the next time.

Re: Precision Sharp and Snap Shooting Match at Bisley on 6/8
Date for next year is confirmed as Saturday 4 Aug 12, no other details yet. I'm unlikely to be involved in the organisation as I'll be at sea under the sea.
Re: Precision Sharp and Snap Shooting Match at Bisley on 6/8
Date confirmed as 4th Aug 12, draft CoF looks like its a good to go, some fine detail on target sizes needs to be worked out, will post PDFs of provisonal Stages when I get a chance. Not as much repetition as last year with two new Stage CoFs at 300 and 500 Yards. Places limited to 48, cost approximately £50.00 this will include a event T-Shirt, Match Pamphlet and entry into the Sponsors Draw, Watch this space or a new thread for more detail.
