Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

Sporting Services

#1 Post by Dr. Strangelove »

Whilst browsing their website, I found out that I live very close to Sporting Services, the UK dealer for AI rifles amongst many other things.

I rang Graeme and asked if I could come over to get some 7.62 ammunition. I duly went over and he had it ready and waiting for me. He was even kind enough to get out an AI AW for me to pine over!

He was very friendly and helpful and I'm sure I'll be back there in the near future!

Just some Barnaul. Nice and cheap at £35/100. Although it did shoot very well out of DOGGER2UKs Steyr SSG on Saturday!

 Sorry! I'd happily clean it for you but you're on the wrong side of the country! Unless you were to part with it....!

What is that ammo like? I am after some reasonable priced ammo for my SSG. Is Sporting Services a normal shop, or a private appointment type place :o

I thought it was surprisingly good. Berdan primed but at that price you can't really complain. Just give Graeme a ring and ask to pop along. He was very accommodating for me although it isn't a shop as such.

Raising a store from the depths.

Dealt with Adam last week and ordered an additional double-feed mag for my AT. Prompt service and easy communication. added some bullets to my order after inital call and no problem whatsoever. Competitive prices on the bullets too (A-Max .308 155's)

Sporting Services were of great help a few years ago when I needed a sample of Sellier and Bellot 7.62 x 25 ammunition for research purposes.
You can read about that case here (in two parts):
