I would say its a bargain he says brand new , the scope must be £90 and the bipod £70 , mounts £20 case £30, thats £210 at a rough guese , so it looks like a good deal .

It is through the trade so it will have a warranty with it and the Howa 1500 is cracking rifle :good:

Howas aren't a lot of money, as Dave says it sounds right.

It is the Howa Dream it build it deal - you can change the scope, add a mod etc for more pennies.

The Howa comes with the Hard case Picitanny rail as standard now.

They are a good shop and worth speaking to - he is very helpful.

a good one of any of them would be a good bet, a bad one would be a pain :P I have a Howa so am biased, I have shot Remmingtons and CZ's but not Ruger, I like the Howa but it wouldn't stop me looking at the others, not too sure about the Remmy bolt handle party trick though ;) fingerscrossed which one can you get at the best price?

the bolt is two piece with the handle silver soldered on, they don't always stay silver soldered, there is also a recurrent issue with the extractor, to the degree that there is a standard mod to adapt them to a "SAKO" type extractor, other than that they can be a very accurate rifle and if its primarily for range use then accuracy is the main thing.
ps I just remembered, I love the Howa 3 position safety, it means you can work the action with the trigger still blocked. did I mention I was biased ?

If it has the Hogue stock (cant quite see as my eyes haven't warmed up yet!) then you might want to relieve the barrel channel a bit more. When used with a bipod they have a habit of flexing and touching the barrel and shifting the poa. Cracking rifles for the money and more after-market stuff available for them now thanks to the likes of Roedale etc. Great action and so very well engineered for a factory rifle, at the price.
I was looking to get one as the basis of my first cf rifle-until an impulse buy changed that!
Go for it :good:
