Hi Everybody
Hi all,
A little about me I think is in order,
I have been a member of Christchurch Gun Club, Dorset, for 11 years now, the NRA for 5, I was a bit long in the tooth when I took up this shooting pastime and it is only now that I have finally found the time to progress to TR
Having shot with .22 .38.303 6.5 Swedish .308/7.62x51, 300wsm .303 amongst others and spent more on Firearms and reloading equipment than I should of, I have now settled on just three firearms.
I reload all of my own ammunition and also do a little gunsmithing ( on my own firearms) from time to time.
I have currently in my possession
Remington 700 .308 In an AI stock
Remington P14 .303
Parker Hale 1200TX 7.62x51
The Remington is there just because I like it and its fun.
I hope in the future to enter service rifle comps with the P14 and the Parker Hale I intend to go forwards and learn the skills attached to the discipline with it.
Hope to have some mutually beneficial conversations on this forum.
Dave

Re: Hi Everybody
Dave, Welcome. I am curious; what sort of gunsmithing do you do? does it involve anything under pressure?

LOL. Nothing too serious, pillar bedding, fitting triggers, lapping of scope rings and the like.

Re: Hi Everybody
Welcome to the forum, I must admit to enjoying the odd tinker with rifles, nothing serious or significant mostly just tweaks to make the rifle better suit my needs or Christel's.
Mostly wood butchering as it is the safest option

Re: Hi Everybody
Probably not as twitchy as me taking a jig saw to Christels pride and joy rifle that had been in the house less than 48 hours...
