.308 185 Berger bullets

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

I have been offered a box of Berger 185's in .308 so I may as well try them.

I have N540 and N560 but no N550 at present so I was thinking of starting off with around 45 grains of N540 and the bullet just on the lands and then work up, has anyone tried the 185's with N540 or N560?

Ovenpaa,

Don't waste these Bergers using the wrong powder. If you can't get Vit N550 (Hannam's have plenty) sell 'em to me! I'll be pleased to do the testing........
