Newbie from near Bisley
Hi everyone, newbie from here who is fortunate enough to live only 15 minutes from Bisley.
Been shooting clays since 2008 and Small Bore since 2010. Now fancy taking a look at Full Bore and finding out what I can about it and the equipment required etc. I needed to put a variation form in recently for another small bore so I added a 7.62/.308 rifle on the form and it was approved :) sign92 Surrey Police :goodjob: . So I now have a spare slot and a yearning to learn, happy days.
Any advice for a FB Newbie is welcomed!
Cheers
Simon

Welcome to the forum Simon, 15 minutes eh? That is handy and means you have less excuses. have you decided on the discipline you would prefer to shoot with the .308? It could be anywhere from 'scoped plinking out to 600 (See the 'S Class' discussion) Through TR to the heady heights of F/TR.

Ah, Lightwater - yep, that's close to Bisley. So close that we can probably send you messages written on bullets by shooting over the top of the stop butts (A comment made in jest. No responsibility will be accepted... etc. etc.).
Anyway, hello Simon and welcome! :)

Doz, what you really are saying is that if Jenny's is closed then perhaps Simon could fetch the coffee

...and none of that instant stuff either please.

Welcometo the Forum, neighbour.
Lightwater, great chippie, good butchers (sorry Chrystel)
Yes, Surrey are very prompt and helpful.
Only one variation? oh well, it's only twenty six quid

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Ok first newbie question, what distances and disciplines are available to shoot with a .308?
I currently shoot .22 at 25 yards.
Thanks :)
