Greetings from Amazingstoke
So Basingstoke may be a crap town but at least its only half an hour from Bisley :-)
I started .22 shooting when I was 11 and now shoot in the Hampshire County XX. My fullbore dabblings started a few years later with the CCF and I now shoot a Musgrave action in a laminated stock for Northants, Leics & Rutland.
I'm currently investing in some reloading gear and learning the ropes to try and make practicing actually affordable again.

Welcome. As Christle says, you are lucky living so close to Bisley.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: Greetings from Amazingstoke
Very lucky being so close to Bisley, however not so lucky to be living in Basingstoke - you can't win them all!Mike357 wrote:Welcome. As Christle says, you are lucky living so close to Bisley.

Can't be that bad, you do have the (apologies - non-shooting reference coming up, look away now) Austin Ten Club national rally this year!

Twice in my life I have gone to buy an Austin Seven and twice the woman I had with me pulled a face and said no way. I divorced the first one.Doz wrote:Can't be that bad, you do have the (apologies - non-shooting reference coming up, look away now) Austin Ten Club national rally this year!

Is there not a small bore club somewhere near Basingrad?
Careful now/that sort of thing
Re: Greetings from Amazingstoke
There is a Basingstoke RC which is actually a little outside of Basingstoke.
Currently I'm still shooting with Southampton University where I graduated from 4 years ago. Helps to have a couple of old hands around to keep everything legal and ticking over smoothly.
