There ya go. I have included a Comparator Bodies in the picture for scale. The comparator has the dowel in it that is used to confirm the two comparator bodies are aligned, top left is the part that holds the cartridge and is bored to give clearance for the primer if it moved when shot (Prevents false readings) top right is the bump gauge for .308 and .284 and Shehane.
Operation:
Attach the bottom comparator body to the vernier and insert the dowel.
Slide the top comparator body over the dowel that is exposed and attach to the vernier.
Make sure both comparators are firmly nipped up to the vernier jaws.
Remove the dowel and replace with the cartridge guide and the bump guage and lock with a hex key.
Place a cartridge in between the gauge and the base and zero the vernier.
Rotate the cartridge to confirm it is at zero.
Bump the neck back and check with the vernier
Repeat as required.
