I tried cat litter made of wood and found that to be a rubbish material to fill my bags so went with the Poly Bead option - perfect :)

Unexpanded polystyrene beads. Look like granulated sugar.

Poly beads in a squeeze bag as it keeps it light enough to go in my pocket or carry bag. For a rear bag heavy sand, I use Chromite however by definition it is rather heavy so it has been left at home for the last few years.

Keeps it safe, wouldn't want it to get damaged
Funny what we do over the years and what we end up
keeping and using. We would need a 4x4 to carry everything
we need, but it is surprising how we manage with what we
actually take with us on the day.
I ought to start a thread about what we carry in our gun bag :)

I remember ordering in 25kg of Chromite and thinking what crikey it weighs a lot when I took it off the back of the couriers van. Apart from filling a couple of rear bags and a few BR99 sausage bags it is still here on a shelf so if anyone is ever passing and needs a bag filling feel free to call in and help yourself!

A carry in your bag has been done before however disciplines and thoughts change and it is always worth a look again

Someone was using a full tight bag of cat litter the other day, never even thought of that.
