Hmm. I've got a K22, steel slide with cuts of course but it's a lot heavier than the 1911 slide and the recoil Spring is the single heaviest recoil Spring I've ever seen in a .22
Don't underestimate the back pressure a little .22 can generate!
If you're a 1911 obsessive and want it to be JUST right (well as right as it can be with a 12" barrel and a coater hanger sticking out the back!?), then you might want to consider the Low Mills 1911.
Otherwise, get the GSG version for almost 1/3rd the price. Spend the difference on ammo and mags and then if you some how manage to break it, buy another one with the remaining money. :) Mine is 2000+ rds in and shows slight wear in the paint on the slide rails, nothing else.

With the cuts its lot heavier than the 1911 slide. If thats the case and they could get away with a modfied 1911 slide why make it heavy and go to the expence of all the cuts to lighten the slide. ? I know my Walther colt 1911 has a very light slide and spring, then its £375 new.

Dunno, I think all their slides are steel and they use the same slides for multiple calibres, it's sure a whole lot nicer an object than any .22 1911 I've ever seen.
