Are you refering to the 7.62x54R gauges the .303 gauges or both.

Head spacing by rim thickness for any cartridge is not acceptable when it comes to proof.

So how do they do it?, as a rimmed case like 7.62x54r headspace on the rim not the shoulder.That's why a lot of 54r headspace gauges are of the flat disc type.

I would be interested to know how they do it I have a set of 7.62x54R go and no go gauges they are Saami. If I was to get a barrel chambered using a Saami reamer and the Saami gauges does that mean I can not get the rifle proofed.

Thanks sfwh for the Okie gauges.

I also managed to obtain a set of .303 go and no go from the States so I am sorted now.
