Thanks for pointing that out Adam. I had missed it I have read it now. Dont know what to say really so I guess the best thing is to just keep out of it.Read the yellow header in the NRA forum Dave.

The National Body General Discussion section is exactly that, a section for all of us to discuss the National Bodies and what they are up to.
Please bear in mind that this is an open forum and your posts can be read by all members. If you are in a position that can be compromised by what you are saying on here because someone takes offense and tells your colleagues or your sponsor and that in turn means you are being punished for your posts on here, think before you post!

Re: NRA forum closing
As far as I understand it this matter (whatever it is) is still awaiting resolution. Would it not, therefore, be appropriate to 'un-freeze' the NRA Forum until a decision has been reached?
Re: NRA forum closing
Doubt I will post or contribute any more till the forum is unlocked...
A lot of over kill and knee jerk reaction (my opinion only and not reflective of anyone else!)
Yet more censorship and prevention of the voices of the NRA getting out around the country (again, my opinion). I can only praise Karen, Iain and Heather for contributing so much to us here.

Re: NRA forum closing
I agree with you Griff. I am much less likely to post with that forum being locked. At least I knew I might find something of interest to discuss there. There are too many branches on the tree to navigate round to discover anything new worth discussing elsewhere.Griff wrote:Doubt I will post or contribute any more till the forum is unlocked...

I have no idea what has (or has not) happened, but it seems that a forum used by quite a few people has been closed because of an allegation of something that they know nothing about. It doesn't "punish" the NRA at all, but it does alienate the people who were using the forum. It is certainly alienating me (from full-bore.co.uk). That's a shame.

Re: NRA forum closing
Griff, Cheeky,
It is my intention to open up a dialogue with someone from the NRA to resolve this matter. Please remember the NRA is NOT officially represented on this forum.
Whatever is being posted by Heather/Karen/Iain/Nick is NOT always official NRA policy.
We opened up a section for the NRA which as far as I know has not been done on a forum elsewhere in the UK, this has most definitely been to the benefit for both the NRA and this forum. Unfortunately we have ended up in this situation because some people ratted on one of our members, it is clear to me that we simply cannot say what we mean re the NRA on here in the light of this situation.
Please bear this in mind when you post if you are in a position that can be compromised.
I have personally been threatened with legal action in the past because of a comment being posted on here about an (ex) NRA employee :G

Re: NRA forum closing
Please note that it was not a member of NRA staff who "ratted on" the person concerned.

Re: NRA forum closing
Nobody from the NRA defended the member either which is what I have a problem with.karen wrote:Please note that it was not a member of NRA staff who "ratted on" the person concerned.

Re: NRA forum closing
Not sure why you would expect any of us to defend the person concerned as none of us know him.
I will pm you privately about this

Re: NRA forum closing
Since the NRA is not represented here, the NRA is not suffering from the forum closed. But its, and the forum's, members are. I find this bizarre.christel wrote:Griff, Cheeky,

Re: NRA forum closing
Me to very bizarre.
I am totaly confused by the whole busness we dont owe the NRA anything we as forum members are not beholding to them we can say what we like on a forum whether they like it or not so why would you lock down the thread.
If they are picking on one of our members then we need tell them as group we wont accept that tell us what the problem is and we can all email them and I mean every single member of full bore UK and tell them its not acceptable to do that.
If you dont want to put it in the forum then send all the members a email and we can email them with our concerns.
This busness of locking down forum threads has me totally confused I have never encountered any thing like this before on any of the forums I visit. Full bore UK must hold the record for the most locked down threads of any forum on the internet in the short period it has been in existence.
