The National Body General Discussion section is exactly that, a section for all of us to discuss the National Bodies and what they are up to.
Please bear in mind that this is an open forum and your posts can be read by all members. If you are in a position that can be compromised by what you are saying on here because someone takes offense and tells your colleagues or your sponsor and that in turn means you are being punished for your posts on here, think before you post!

NRA forum closing
I understand if this thread gets locked by the mods/admins, but...
I thought that the NRA staff who posted on here wearing their official hats were doing a good job of showing that the NRA isn't just the Bisley Target Rifle Club, and actually is making a good effort at changing itself and responding to what shooters want.
Hearing that a member of FBUK has been harrassed for expressing his opinion of the NRA on here has just reversed most of my previous good thoughts about the NRA. Whether it's just an individual or not, the fact is, this will reflect badly on the entire organisation. I'm now re-thinking whether to take out individual membership of the NRA - I'm fairly outspoken, so what would happen to me if I criticised the NRA in public? Safer to stay outside of it, by the looks of things.
Bad show all round.

Re: NRA forum closing
I hope that the decision is soon reversed and an apology issued
It had nothing to do with any of the NRA staff who post on this forum and I would really say it has nothing to do with the NRA itself.
Others are in consultation about the matter so I am not going to get involved unless others don't get it sorted out.
Sometimes things are not entirely what they seem

Re: NRA forum closing
This does not put the NRA in a good light, does it?
Symptomatic of a power struggle at the top, maybe???
The NRA is really a poor shadow of what it ought to be. How very sad when open and honest discussion is prohibited.
I hope our NRA ladies are not adversely affected.
I would have hoped that the NorthernNRAGuy (or other Regional Reps, whoever they might be) would enter the fray on our behalf, but I doubt that he/they would have the stones to do that! I'd like him/them to prove me wrong.
Sorry to be so negative about the NRA.

Yes it is a tad cryptic but I'm sure you understand why it has to be so to protect our members.
