So plastic wads will still be allowed for TS, or am I being extremely thick?

No Plastic wads when using birdshot or buckshot at Bisley other than on the NCSC complex ( which is max size 7.5s anyway).
Plastic wads are OK with slug since they tend to stay attached ( mostly) and end up in the sand trap.
