A good two part epoxy would work ok I think but the foresight would need to be on some sort of base or ramp to give a decent area for bonding. File off the bluing to give it something to key to.

Yes, soft solder would work as well, solder does not take to blue so it is easy to keep neat :)

With these jobs it isn't the sticking on that is the difficulty it is getting the damned things aligned correctly and keeping them there 'till the adhering is done that is the challenge.

Simple blade foresight made of about 1.5 mm mild steel silver soldered into place (lowest melting point rod) - you could hold it in position with a small g clamp (they come as small as 25 mm)

tried crowning it seems ok ?,
never solder/braze anything so poss looking to dovetail the front site?or sticking bit of brass rod on an file to shape/down
my diy skills arent, prob shouldnt have started this project,but hey ho,

Why not make up a foresight and take the lot down to a gunsmith to solder on?
