No your FEO does not need to know, yes it *should* be proofed again as the barrel has been modified.

that's pretty sexy, that's the sort of thing that would look really good as a shotgun primer off gun loaded pistol, stick to black powder though as it's stainless.

It would be a fun conversion to do to a BP revolver, although loading with the cylinder in the gun without any additional equipment might be problematical.

Just a very simple press would be easy to make:

since my revolver barrel looks shot about 2in or so from the muzzle could be prim for chopin down

used one of them from Kranks and its ok but type of thing.
What needs to be made is one that has a stop so all cylinders are compressed the same ,
so we need someone who could make a few maybe ............................................
