£150 will get you a second hand 10/22 synthetic stock, with scope and spare mags if search guntrader (not mine! )
It will do everything a AR clone will do at a quarter of the price but unfortunately you won't look a super cool tier 1 operator whilst shooting it.
I have an AR for CSR and a 10/22 for mini rifle.

Haha I am not too fussed looking like a tier 1 operator, but I like the AR platform, the way it functions, the way you can make it fit anyway you want with pretty much unlimited options... And also tinker forever!
However a cheap ruger is going to be in my safe soon, hell I can always put it in an AR chassis and even get some magazine chassis if I get desperate

An AR is faster to handle the a 10/22 but they perform mostly the same function.
I got my kit imported by Breacher but after his recent robbery by US customs I'm not sure he's importing at the moment. Suffolk rifle were getting some in a while back too. HTA 90/22 is the name of the kit.
Ovenpaa did a great job on mine with a barrel shim to allow a wildcat over barrel mod to come flush with the end of the receiver, and a steel trigger bushing to replace the one I made from an old bit of plumbing kit!
Shoots fabulously now.

I spotted them at brownells at £300 but not sure I can quite stomach that price the moment!

Awesome rifles.
well that's me sold, I've always had a bit of a thing for the P90!
Did you managed to source the kit in country?
Brownells have started importing them to the uk as well now (not sure how they compare on price with others though)

I was considering getting that exact setup.
How does it shoot? Is it reliable, needs a lot of cleaning or not?
How much was the gun and where did you buy it?
Appreciate any feedback on this,
.
Did you ever buy the Buckmark?
I just bought one and love it! One thing to watch is if you fire too quickly you get a bit of powder blow back at you so get some safety glasses!
Easy to clean with a pull through as when open you can get plenty of access to the innards.
I found mine wasn't too keen on CCI Standard but loves RWS Semi Auto. Not tried Mini Mag yet which is next on the cards but to be honest the RWS is pretty much the same price.
I got the sporter model as the target one is not easy to find in the UK but with a Hawke Vantage scope it is damn accurate at 25m and so far very reliable :)
Can't wait to see what it can do at 100m at my other club :)
