Hi guys and gals,
I've changed my scope from a leupold VXlll to the sightrom 10-50X60. The sightron is a good bit heavier than the leupy and now I need to loose 1lb off my rig sign01 . Currently I'm using a first gen sinclair bi-pod @ 2.2lb and so this is the area I'm looking at...
I'm looking for a bi-pod under 600 grams sign85
The only one I know of in that weight range is the MYSTIC precision. Dolphin have the mk 2 tracker coming out in a few weeks I think, other than them ... anyone any other ideas???????
Also whats the mystic like on the firing point????

Re: FTR Bi-pod
I had the Sinclair "bridge" type and replaced it with the new Tactical BiPod, a bit lighter at 1.75lb, the one on the website isn't the new version, it's got square section legs and can be folded out at the usual angle or into a lower angle with the feet over 12" apart.
You can see it about 1/2 way down on page 2 of Dromias C2R cleaning post here http://www.full-bore.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11312

I was going to get the Mystic Precision direct from Jerry Tau but he only accepts payment in CAD$. Brian Fox imports them into the UK, price for the BiPod and 2 x swivel screw mount rails was about £225 if I remember correctly.
This is the reply I got from Jerry,
"http://www.mysticprecision.com/wp/1709/ ... installed/
Pics of the rails are further down the page. The new adaptors have a slotted mounting hole so can cover a wide range of stud insert spacing.
The short is 1.5 to 2.6" spacing. The long is 2.5 to 3.6" spacing.
If you only have one stud location, just drill a second hole and bolt the rail in place. A big washer in the forend makes this a very strong install.
The MPOD is very easily removed and installed on this rail. Just twist the central lever and remove.

Re: FTR Bi-pod
The Mystic is really good - rigid, adjustable and, at 12 ounces, has few rivals. Brian Fox has them in stock. But, there are plenty of bi-pods less than 2.2lbs. The Third Eye EVO has to be one of the best at about 750 grams - Osprey Rifles stock them.pcon wrote:Hi guys and gals,

Re: FTR Bi-pod
The third eye is a great bipod, a friend of mine did a review of them and he really liked it, but I'm looking at 600 to 700 grams at the very max.
The tactical bipod wouldn't suit me, as I'm looking for something very rigid.
The new dolphin carbon fibre one ... I don't know about carbon fibre legs ... I've seen the censhot flexing.
A friend got the mk1 tracker and it was pretty small just wondering how much bigger the large one is...
Is David still making the S/S bipod??

Re: FTR Bi-pod
The latest Fito Fusion would probably suit you - Osprey Rifles have one or two in stock I think. However, I can assure you that the Mystic bi-pod is very rigid in spite of its light weight.pcon wrote:The third eye is a great bipod, a friend of mine did a review of them and he really liked it, but I'm looking at 600 to 700 grams at the very max.
Re: FTR Bi-pod
I have another run of to make to the new design however they are all sold already and destined for customers overseas with the exception of one which is going to a UK shooter, after that I am not sure when the next run will be, it is all down to orders and finding time.pcon wrote:Is David still making the S/S bipod??
I am also building one to special order however it is truly a one off and an exotic and will not be repeated.
