Hi from glasgow

#1 Post by sconie »

Hi all, I am a licenced shotgun and firearms certificate holder and have held both for around fifteen years, their use has mainly been for my employment roll, I am ex-army however and still enjoy using other firearms whilst on holiday in Florida.

I am looking for some advice on the best way to approach joining a full bore club and I would like to buy a straight pull rifle. As I'm up in Scotland I may also consider deer stalking.

Many thanks
Christel

Welcome. 25Pdr's advice seems excellent. I was going to mention Clyde Valley too but I don't know much about them.

That sounds terrific Jim, I know there seems to be a lack of rifle clubs in the west of Scotland so your club will be ideal, I am on vacation in the USA right now but I'll make a point of visiting the club upon my return. I would rather seek advice from the likes of yourself prior to speaking to the licencing branch to work on the best way of adding personal rifles to my licence, as my licence as I use company weapons at present.
