Wanted- AKM Bayonets

#1 Post by snayperskaya »

I'm after Izhmash and Tula AKM type one and two bayonets and also Romanian AKM bayonets.Ideally want them with belt hangers and wrist straps intact and preferably with matching bayonet/scabbard numbers.

Yes Blu, thats the type 1 bayonet (missing the rubber insulator off the scabbard and the belt hanger).

I have one, but I'm not sure if it meets your criteria, I'll check later.

Mine looks just like this. It has the hand strap and belt hanger as well. There is no number on the scabbard, but there is a serial no. on the bayonet.

How much are they worth?

If yours is the same as the pic its a type 2

The going rate is around £25 for an unissued Izhmash one in :nice condition, maybe a bit more for a Tula or a transitional type 1 (type 1 bayonet in a type 2 scabbard with matching numbers). If you can stick up a pic of yours I'll have a look :)

Sorry I didn't know if it was worth selling it, but at £25 it's hardly worth it. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Thats ok no problem :).The reason they are fairly inexpensive is that there are millions of them out there which makes them pretty easy to collect.

Dandbmilitaria have crates full, I think they were 2 for £25 at the war and peace show but they have them online for £20 each.
