Westlake Nitro Muzzle Loading Pistol .38

#1 Post by leeroy7031 »

I have my Nitro muzzle loading pistol in .38 manufactured by Alan Westlake. This is was his flagship model with heavy square target barrel and target rib and light weight target trigger. Comes complete with press, powder (3/4 tub Herco), wad cutters (600+) and over 600 primers. The cylinder was services by Alan last year due to a sticking firing pin which has now been resolved. The overall condition of the pistol is good, there is however some minor cosmetic damage to the cylinder head which was present when I purchased the firearm, this can only seen while the cylinder is split for loading and has no effect on the pistols use at all.

The cost to convert a pistol like this is £550, the target rib is a further £190 before trigger work and cost to buy the pistol in the first place.

This is a complete set-up ready to go for £650 ono. Would consider a swap for either of the following with cash if required.

7.92 K98 Mauser with full original eagle marking and WW2 heritage

45/70 Marlin under lever

.223 Bolt action Varmint rifle with heavy barrel (ideally 1:10/9/8)

Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician ............ "Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Cooper"

New year bump .....

No longer looking for 45/70 but would consider a 7.5 K31
