It is still fire season here in SoCal with no sign of any rain on the horizon. A brush fire started a couple miles from my house last weekend. My first knowledge of it was the sound of low flying aircraft. I ran out the back just in time to see two Canadair Super Scooper fire fighting planes go overhead at tree top level. I ran inside and grabbed my camera and caught this image of the Erickson Air Crane helo chugging by on the way to the fire. It is equipped with a suction hose to suck water up into the tank while hovering. Fortunately the fire was put out in a couple hours. The Super Scoopers didn't come back over the house again so no picture of them.
