Yesterday I ordered repro Leather caps for my Springfield A4's Alaskan scope from our very own "Saddler".....arrived today, superb recreations of the original..
Jon even took the trouble to add the correct US Ordnance stamp..
Very highly recommended to all, excellent service, excellent product...
Cheers mate, John..

Re: Moore Leather
I would second that. Had some covers and a cheek piece made for my Swedish Mauser. First class service and highly recommended.

Re: Moore Leather
Just received my sling and scope caps for my No4T from saddler. Very pleased with standard of workmanship and service.
Now all I need to do is follow the pics to work out how to fit and adjust the sling

M1907 SLING FITTING
The long sling is the one that has the two keepers on it. No keepers on the short sling.
The keeper with the three dots on is the lower keeper, the one with the ordnance-grenade mark is the upper keeper.
Take both slings:
Lie the long sling down, best side uppermost.
Feed the lower keeper along the sling toward the frog end, just past the half way point.
Place the short sling on top of the longer one so that the frogs are facing the same way & the outer surface leather is uppermost.
Feed the long sling through the D-ring of the shorter one, without letting the lower keeper fall off: you'll not need to do anything else to the short sling for now as long as it's now attached to the long sling.
Now, feed the blank end of the long sling through the lower keeper until about 18" is past the frog.
(The part you fed through the keeper will be lying best side down)
Add the second keeper to the sling (from the bare end) stitched seam facing downwards & move it toward the frog part of the sling.
Feed the bare sling end through the upper keeper, so the upper keeper now has a double thickness through it, then pass it under the frog & toward the lower keeper: the lower keeper should already have two layers of sling through it - this spare end of the sling is now about to become the third layer.
That's more or less it.
Study the image on my website & also click on the YouTube movie clips - they're WW2 US Army "Signal Corps" training films.
Give me a shout if you get stuck!

Re: Moore Leather
Thanks for the tips re the keepers, noticed they were different when I was doing a test assembly off the rifle and was going to ask you. The colour is excellent, they don't look newly made.
