Powder load for muzzle loading 10bore shotgun

#1 Post by martin2sheds »

I’ve recently restored a muzzle loading 10bore shotgun. Unfortunately all my loading tables and experience is with muzzle loading 12 bores. Could anyone please give me advice on a starting load for pheasant using No6 shot, medium black powder and pre lubed wads.
Kind Regards

Equal volume of powder to the volume of the weight of shot you want to use.

Best I can do as I am away from my own load data at present

This is a good site for M/L shotgun information.

BTW Peter Dyson has a trade label for William Bond of Lombard St. London (if its the same one) if you are interested.
