Hi NEW TO THIS SITE

#1 Post by ANDY T »

Hi all
I am new to this shooting site

I shoot mainly tactical rifles and have 2 Unique Alpine with 6mmbr 6.5x284 and x2 308 barrels i also do .22 benchrest shooting.
The 6.5x284 is a new caliber to me so i would appreciate and feed back on loads and what wight rounds to use it has a 1/8 twist on it and will be shooting from 800-1200yrd with it.
I am also a committee member of our local shooting club see the link below

Regards
Andy

Welcome to the forum, we have a 6.5x284 coming in the next 2-3 weeks. I was going to start with 139 Scenars and either Viht N560 or H4831SC as we have both in the house. The 42 grain SMK's also have a good reputation however I prefer to feed the new rifle a European diet to start off with

Hi Andy, welcome to FBUK.

For heavens sake, don't call them heads, you'll upset them all and cause a huge stooshie and this welcome thread will end up running to about 300 posts on the subject  We are really good at getting off topic, you'll soon see.

hi Andy,

Welcome to the forum...its lively, informal and friendly...except when one or two get stuck into the cookin' on a Friday night. Then it gets silly.

Quite a few know what they are doing here.

Hello Andy

I wondered if you'd find your way to here :D
