NRA's HMIC response...
Just had a quick read through, they seem to make a lot of good points.
http://firearmsuk.org/2015/09/23/nation ... ommission/
Obviously taken some considerable time to make an informed response to the HMIC report - Will read it again properly soon. but here it is for everyone else incase they hadn't yet spotted it on the NRA UK's homepage.

An excellent response to the HMIC consultation--authoritative, constructive, and sensible. Well done Iain and the NRA.

Re: NRA response to the Law Commision
Well written response. They are right to step back from the definition of lethality by ME, and make good points too on licencing the person not the object (yes, Mr Meles they use licence and certificate interchangeably). Also good on components and taking moderators etc off ticket.
Who? Me? Really?

Awesome stuff. Shame the Tories won't take heed of any of it.

NRA (UK) response to Law Commission consultation
This doesn't appear to have been posted yet so here it is;
http://www.nra.org.uk/common/asp/conten ... RA&id=1741
You can tell it was written by a lawyer, get the dictionary and thesaurus out of you're not used to that kind of lingo!
Certainly seems to cover everything in there and a few extra bits. Would be interesting to see BASC's and BSSC, if they did their own.

Given that about 4 threads have been started on this, it should be moved into the general discussion section.
I thought the NRA submission was excellent, especially on the bit about possessing tools. I know BASC definitely will have written something. BSSC, I'm not so sure.
