S&W Model 22 Victory - modular pistol

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

S&W Model 22 Victory - modular pistol

#1 Post by IsleShoot »

Keeping one eye on Shot Show (oh how I love 'Merca) and I've seen some hype about S&W's new Model 22 which is a .22lr semi-auto target pistol.

Now S&W are clearly not fussed by the UK market but whoever has the UK franchise (shield?) might have an opportunity here? The thing that makes this of potential interest to us poor saps this side of the pond is the modular nature of the pistol!

Heres the youtube link https://youtu.be/xaynoOfEE-0

I'd imagine it'd give the browning a run for its money (which I think I heard the guy say was $409 brand new in the states).

I'm sure there lots of issues with matching serial numbers and once a sec 5 always a sec 5 but as a concept I think its brilliant.

I think if I wanted a 22 semi I would buy a Ruger.

Smith and Wesson should stick to revolvers.

i thought it looked quite good, but doubt HO would approve it with a barrel that easy to replace

Wrong both the sig lbp and the Suffolk glock lbp have removable barrels without any tools for cleaning
In fact both can take centre fire slides as well and they are still section one approved

don't both the sig and glock need the barrel block though?

slides are irrelevant to what i'm saying
