Mini McQueen at The Phoenix

Giving it a try this year for the first time.

Anybody else here tried it ?

As I understand it - a standard McQueen target is used - but is it full size or scaled down ?

Also, standard velocity ammo zeroed at 25m - what elevation adjustment should I expect at 50m ?

Was hoping to do it for the first time this year. Alas, will be travelling for work so won't get the chance.

I'd expect CCI to drop about an inch or so at 50m if zero'd at 25m - someone will be along with a correct calculation shortly :-)

Good luck!

Very much scaled down!
The target is about 3inch by 2.5inch.

Zero 0.3" high at 25 will see you spot on at 50.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

All things being equal, a standard A4 size McQueen target should scale down to 7.4 x 5.2 cm at 50m.
I've just printed a load up for our Club's Mini McQueen target. They seem pretty big @ 10 or 12x zoom but it's still a bugger to hit the 'V' ****

Well, I arrived feeling a bit nervous. And felt even more nervous when I saw the other rifles being used - ie, proper tools for the job !

But I had a go anyway - and was pleased to get all 10 rounds on the target !! No V-bulls and not a high score but very enjoyable nonetheless !
