Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

The old link doesn't work, looks like he's in the process of changing it all over, most of the links on the new site go to blank pages at the moment.

Just for info, Emma Custom Rifles have changed there web site and address as well, now http://www.emma-rifles.co.uk/

Don't know how much of the original stuff is on there as the site is painfully slow to load, I gave up trying to use it.

This is a very rare rifle they have for sale, it would be interesting to know where they managed to source 5.45x39 ammunition from. One thing in the ad that made me smile is that it is the same calibre as the AK47!.

Barbican Armoury holds lots of memories for me. Sadly the gentleman who originally opened the armoury and the range passed away on June the 5th.

A fantastic guy.

Lawrence Tully, 86 of Brancepeth, County Durham, passed away on June 5, 2016 peacefully in Bedale North Yorkshire.

Born in Sunderland, on June the 18th, 1929.

Lawrence an Industrial Chemist & Entrepreneur, most notably inventing the automotive adhesive used to bond the Jaguar E type bonnet. Later known for Barbican Armoury and Gun club in Brancepeth Castle, Durham.

Preceded in death by his first wife Joan (nee Go Lightly) in 2014.

I will miss the old guy RIP Lawrence.

That is a very sad loss indeed

I shot at the Barbican and bought quite a lot of my reloading components from Lawrence in the early 80's, he was a lovely man, extremely knowledgeable and always helpful, and of course you always got to play with his dog as an added bonus! :)

A true gentleman, he will be sadly missed by a lot of the North East shooting community

Very sorry to hear about Lawrence. I only met him a couple of times as a teenager but he made a big impression on me when I was first getting into pistol shooting. RIP.
