Well, I have now bought a .54cal Hawken flintlock rifle.
I intend to use it for indoor range and suitable outdoor range use.
First impression is that I love it clapclap
Not as fiddly as one would expect. Dromia has helped me with the handling so to speak. Flint knapping is also a new experience, but, very easy to do.
As I have problems with recoil at the moment, its all going well at 25yds, might have a go soon at further distances and see how my shoulder handles it!
I like black powder firearms and using Swiss powder makes it ideal for not clearing the range
Parts for the flinklock are obtainable and if you love black powder shooting......give one a go they are fab!!!!
