How do you get the 20st Deer home that you have just shot half a mile into the woods?

You lose a lot of the weight from it in the gralloch.
Then drag/carry, depending on terrain.
New Zealand technique is to only take out the haunches if in mountainous terrain.
If a few are shot for the meat trade they're helicoptered out.
