A few weeks ago Adam, somewhat reluctantly, agreed to sell me his own Parker Hale 2 Band .577. On the proviso that if I ever wanted to sell it I would give him first refusal. After taking it to the range today, I'm certain that I am keeping it!
I am in my early 70's, my eyes are not what they should be, and to be honest I shoot because I enjoy it rather than because I am good at it.
I fired 4 shots with the rifle, and I could not believe what I was seeing through the spotting scope! My effort is at 11 o'clock...and the odd one at 1 o'clock.
So I asked another club member to have a couple of shots. He fired 2 shots standing and his are the group of two at 5 o'clock.
Another member then wanted a go, and he fired sitting and the group of 3 at 4 o'clock are his.
I think it's rather good, seeing as it's the first time any of us had fired the rifle.
I'm going again tomorrow because I can't believe the target that I brought home,
Thanks very much Adam for selling me a wonderful rifle!
Best regards
Geoff

Re: Dromnia's old rifle..
I am so glad that your are pleased with it Geoff.
Good shooting. clapclap
The P58s do shoot very well and that particular one has served me well over the years, as I hope it will continue to do for you.

Re: Dromia's old rifle..
It was 70 grains of Swiss 3 behind 585 grain bullets. Unfortunately I can't replicate the bullets because they were made in an unknown mould that I borrowed. So I am now using 560 grain bullets from an original Parker Hale mould.

It's easy to see why you like it so much.
