Non-corrosive 7.62x39

#1 Post by James84 »

Nobody seems to have any non-corrosive 7.62x39. Does anyone know of any vendors selling any around Hampshire, Surrey or Wilts? Preferably Tula or Barnaul.

Use Glorious 7.62x39 milsurp of the Soviet Union and clean throughly as per service manual Tovarisch ussrflag :p

Joking aside ive put thousands of rounds of nothing but Soviet-era milsurp through my AKM for the last five years and had no problems :good:

Ha, thanks for the heads up.

I currently have some Chinese '65 dated stuff which I'm running and the reason for seeking non-corrosive is the fact I have gas parts and it's blowing those wonderful salts into all the hard to reach places and I'd rather not have to give the entire rifle a bath every week and go through a normal cleaning regime instead

The Tigr is a bit easier because there's no gas port so it's a kettle-through-the-toob approach which works perfectly :)
