Just lucky?

#1 Post by Topic22 »

Having read on my local police force's website that it could be up to 10 months for a new FAC application, I was resigned to a long wait.

My application was received on Thursday 28th September, the FEO visited on Thursday 12th October and the FAC arrived to-day, 5 weeks and 2 days since applying.

I'm not sure if I'm just very lucky but whatever the reason, thankssign to West Mercia, it's much appreciated!

Isn't that true!

My wife looked at the website I was scanning 10 minutes after the FAC arrived and said, "How much?".

I am so jealous, mine went in on the 2nd of October, they only acknowledged receiving it on the 24th, and the cheque doesn't seem to have been cashed yet.

So I think I have a while yet to go...

I've just received my FAC, from West Yorkshire - having been told 6 months, it came back in 2.

You can't complain at that really.

I know a guy who has waited three months for a renewal. A RENEWAL!

I know I should still have a decent turn around compared to some, as in the recent past Thames Valley have had some people not getting theirs for over a year.

It still doesn't help the impatience though...

The FEO visited the Viking some 3 weeks after her FAC expired on her renewal and she still has not received her FAC, that was with her putting in her renewal at 4 months before the it expired.

My real worry is our RFD is due for renewal middle of next year and I really have no idea what we will do if it expires without the new one ready to replace it...
