Hi as title I'm in the market for a .308 purely for range work. I don't have a huge budget around £1k and it is my first steps into longer range shooting. Ideally like something to shoot out to 1000 so I can have a go at ftr.

Might be an idea to sign up to the UKVarminting Forum. There are some awesome custom/comp. rifles get put up for sale for a fraction of what they cost.
