Cowboy Action Shooting
CAS cowboy Action Shooting is a great days shooting firing 2 Muzzle Loaded Revolvers, a Lever Action Rifle and a 12g. All fired at steel targets and timed. Accuracy and speed wins the day. Our Club is based at North Cotes Butts Nr Grimsby and we genereally meet on the 3rd weekend of each month, shooting on both days. If anyone is interested in having a go please come along and have a go. I have shown below the guns I have and use for CAS shoots

I would love to try CAS but there is no where in the north east that does it.
Remember, we're all here because we're not all there!

What facilities does Bob Dunkley Firearms offer? When I have checked the website it looks to be primarily Air Rifles, do they also have facilities for Rimfire or Centrefire?Blackstuff wrote:Contact Bob Dunkley FirearmsLever357 wrote:I would love to try CAS but there is no where in the north east that does it.

Re: Cowboy Action Shooting
Its got an indoor range, (rated up to .44mag AFAIK). I've shot steel plate matches there a fair few times. Think they shoot do the club shoots Tuesdays and Thursdays but i've only been for specific comps. The outdoor part is for air rifles and archery.
Bob just used to be into the BWSS scene, hence the recommendation as i'm sure he could point people in the right direction if Alpha hasn't already been asked.

Re: Cowboy Action Shooting
I got into the BWSS when it first started.
I went to the first big event at Diggle - really was amazing.
Have some of it on video somewhere.
I had a Ruger Vaqero and Uberti 1866 yellowboy both in 45lc.
Started to pick up clothing and was about to put in for another pistol a derringer and shotgun then along came Dunblane.
Cowboy action was really starting to take off as an alternative to practical pistol.
Nice to know its still around.
