Waiting for FAC
Hi All
Waiting to hear if my FAC has been accepted, had interview a couple of weeks ago - I had a doctors appointment this morning and noticed on the Doctors screen a Red icon and the words 'Firearm Certificate'
I know that you get flagged with the Doctors - I was just wondering if this points towards my application being accepted, any thoughts?
Cheers

It means the Police have contacted your GP and they have complied with their request. I would say things are looking good. Which area have you applied in?CraigH wrote:Hi All

Applied through Northumbria police, sent application 13th June - I was kind of hoping the fact I was flagged by the Doctors meant they had been notified that application had been accepted (i.e. they had been notified before me).
Oh well, just have to wait it out.

As a side note the FEO who came out was very pleasant and helpful, made sure I was aware that at any point if there was anything I was unsure of the firearm department is there to offer advice and assistance. (didn't accept offer of a hot beverage or any chocolate hob nobs)

Re: Waiting for FAC
I don't think they would contact the GP to say you have been accepted. I think they tell them to add the marker when they ask for details. But it is all changing so who knows!
If you had your interview a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet then I would have thought you are just waiting for it to arrive now. And that's all down to the speed of Northumbria's firearms department. As you went from application to interview in about a month I can't imagine it will be too much longer! If in doubt give them a shout!

Re: Waiting for FAC
Just has a text from the wife - there is an official looking letter addressed to me, but she's gone out so It's unopened.
It's either my FAC or a letter from the STD clinic.
Both excited and scared at the same time...……….

Probably a good job your wife didn't open it then! Or do you have one of THOSE marriages....CraigH wrote:Just has a text from the wife - there is an official looking letter addressed to me, but she's gone out so It's unopened.
