Pedersoli .410 Rolling Block

#1 Post by GlockworkOrange »

For sale is my Pedersoli .410 Rolling Block shotgun. Strangely absent of makers marks, I contacted Pedersoli who confirmed it was one of theirs. It was one of a very small batch made in the 80s for a UK distributor.

It is essentially a .45-70 rolling block (26" heavy target barrel, half octagonal), but made smoothbore and chambered for 3" .410 shells. This means it is remarkably heavy, absolutely solid, and proofed for very high pressures (.45-70 level). The gun is finished to a high standard with deep bluing on the barrel, a polished receiver and colour-cased hammer and block. German silver blade front sight, simple notch rear. Holes drilled and tapped for a tang sight too if you have .410 slugs on your FAC ;) Rather good all-round condition, minus one very small dent on the octagonal portion of the barrel. Keep in mind the cost that new Pedersoli Rolling Block rifles demand. Certainly one of the more interesting guns that you can hold on a shotgun certificate, and guaranteed to get a lot of looks at a clay shoot!

I'm asking for £300 collected in Dorset, or could RFD at your expense.

I will update with more recent pictures when it's less miserable outside! The sights are different as I have since swapped them back to the original set.

Thanks all, it certainly is a beauty which is why I'm quite reluctant to sell. I'm firm on the asking price right now, but it's possible I might be open to offers a few weeks down the line I don't have any takers by then.
