Shotgun ejectors

Cant put my ejectors back on my Revo 12g the pin that goes into the runner holding the ejectors has come out it fits into a hole with a spring I cant get it into the hole long enough to bring the hold open plate on top of it...

Compress the ejectors, I have a carpeted worktop and turn the barrels upside down and push the barrels down to hold the ejectors in, then the pin can be replaced (Take care!) A piece of wood works as well.
