Hi All
I want to put a small lightweight bipod on the stock of a rifle which I shoot prone with a sling. Just the type to stand it on in between details and for cleaning etc. With the Boyds stock, the easiest way to do this would be with a sling swivel stud attachment as there are a couple already on the stock.
Unfortunately the only bipods I can find with this type of attachment are big heavy duty ones designed to actually be shot off of. The type I want only seem to come with an Anschutz style accessory rail attachment.
So the easiest solution is to make a bipod. So does anyone have details of the mating part of the swivel stud? Dimensions, layout etc. Or know where I can buy the mating part that I can make the bipod around? I haven't used these types of connections before so I'm not sure how they operate.
If not I can come up with something that will work, it would just be nicer to use it as intended...

Have a look here they may have something you can adapt.

Re: Sling Swivel Stud - Mating Part
The bipod itself is the easy part... I have a couple knocking around anyway that I could use. Its the other end that I'm not sure on.Alpha1 wrote:Have a look here they may have something you can adapt.
